P-EBT Food Benefits

Who is Eligible?
Students who are certified for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Students who attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) or Provision 2 (P2) school that offers free meals to all students.
Children born after Aug. 1, 2014, in families who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between October 2020 and June 2021.
Who Needs to Apply?
A parent/guardian must apply if eligible student is:
Enrolled in K-12 and NOT part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between August 2020 and June 2021.
Born on or before Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for the first time during the 2020–2021 school year in May or June 2021.
A parent/guardian does not have to apply if eligible student or child is:
Born on or before Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between August 2020 and April 2021.
Born after Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between October 2020 and June 2021.

Virtual College Board Information Meeting for Junior Students and Parents

On Wednesday, December 2nd at 5:30 PM Ms. Holt, GGA Counselor will be hosting a virtual meeting for all 11th grade students/parents regarding college applications, scholarships, SAT/ACT tests, etc. She will be presenting a program through College Board that students can complete to be entered into drawings for money. At the end, if they complete all requirements they will be entered into a drawing for $40,000 (25 Awarded). Please click title for Zoom link. See you then!

PSAT/NMQST Test for Sophomores and Juniors

All Sophomores and Juniors will be required to take the PSAT/NMQST test on October 29th. There will be a virtual meeting about this test on Wednesday, October 21st at 7:00 PM for all parents and students. You may also come in person if you cannot join virtually. It will be in Room 100. You will need to email Ms. Holt at wholt@gervin-school.org to receive the link for the virtual training. Information for that meeting will include an explanation of these tests, the benefits of taking these tests, and how to prepare for the tests.

Important Announcement: 2020-2021 School Year!

George Gervin Academy will begin the 2020-2021 school year on August 17, 2020 with 100% remote learning.
