Welcome to the George Gervin Youth Center

Welcome to the online home of the George Gervin Youth Center. Our services are two-fold. Not only do we provide a free public charter school to students in pre-kindergarten through high school, but we also provide community assistance for a variety of residents in need. We strive to meet the individual needs of the whole person through innovative, comprehensive, and culturally-sensitive services to positively impact the lives of our students and their families.

We encourage community members in the San Antonio-metro area to find out more about us. GGYC supports the George Gervin Academy, serving students in kindergarten through high school. We also provide services and housing to senior citizens and teens who find themselves homeless and pregnant. Browse through the pages of our website to find out what GGYC can do for you and your family.

A Message from Our CEO and Superintendent

San Antonio Community,

The George Gervin Youth Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving troubled youth, their families, and the community at large. Since 1991, we have worked hard to provide innovatively designed and culturally sensitive services in San Antonio, and we branched out in 2012 with a prep academy in Phoenix.

Our primary aim is to assess and meet the individual needs of the whole person, specifically aimed at the needs of at-risk and disadvantaged youth. We also work with community members to provide affordable housing alternatives for senior citizens, transitional housing and training programs for young adults, and a variety of other community-based efforts.

I invite you to learn what GGYC is all about and take advantage of our many programs. We appreciate the community support, which makes the continued success of youth in our area possible.
