Join us December 6th from 10AM-1PM for a day filled with love, laughter, and the true spirit of giving at the 6th Annual Making Spirits Bright Toy Drive Collection & Cars For Christmas Event!

Special Guests Include:

Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, and other surprise characters will be there to spread cheer and take pictures with families! There will also be a car show display with SUPER CARS AND EXOTIC CARS!!!

What to Expect:

Toy collection for children in need
Photo opportunities with Christmas characters
Community fellowship and joyful holiday music
Photo opportunities with lots of exotic cars

Admission:
This is a FREE community event!
Donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated to help us reach even more families.

George Gervin Academy was founded 30 years ago as a first generation public charter school for Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade scholars in San Antonio, Texas. We are proud to have earned the accountability rating
of Met Standard, the highest rating possible! Our scholars meet or exceed state target scores for student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and postsecondary readiness.

Practice Test

Secondary Interim and STAAR testing 12/8/25-12/12/25

Hello, this is a reminder that Interim and STAAR testing for students in grades 6 through 12 will take place next week, December 8th through December 12th. Attendance is mandatory, and these tests are important for measuring progress and meeting graduation requirements. Please make sure your child arrives on time each day, well-rested, and ready to test. School hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If your child is sick or cannot attend during the testing window, please call the school right away at 210-568-8800. Thank you for your support. 

Hola, este es un recordatorio de que las pruebas Interim y STAAR para los estudiantes de grado  6 a 12 se llevarán a cabo la próxima semana, del 8 al 12 de diciembre. La asistencia es obligatoria, y estas pruebas son importantes para medir el progreso y cumplir con los requisitos de graduación.Por favor asegúrese de que su hijo llegue a tiempo cada día, descansado y listo para examinarse. Notice is hereby given that the George Gervin Academy School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meeting will be held on December 2, 2025. The Council will convene the meeting in Open Session at 1:00 p.m. 

The Committee will meet in person and via video conference.

It is the intent of the Council to establish a quorum with members physically present and members who attend via video conference. It is the intent of the Council to have at least one committee member present at the physical meeting address to conduct the meeting. Items will not necessarily be discussed or considered in the order they are printed on the agenda below. If, during the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in an executive or closed session, the Board will convene in such executive or closed session as permitted by and in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.

Thanksgiving Day Lunch/Almuerzo del Día de Acción de Gracias

Hello Parents/Guardians,

Next Thursday, November 20th, GGA will be hosting a Thanksgiving lunch for parents/guardians to eat with their student. The limit is two tickets per family. Please see flyer for more details.
